View all open positionsMeet Alex - our Head Chef from Cancún, Mexico. This is already his fourth season with us at Waterman Hotels & Resorts.
What he enjoys most about living and working in Milna is the peaceful setting, surrounded by forest and away from the bustle. He even lives at the hotel and says this lifestyle suits him perfectly.
Outside the kitchen, Alex is passionate about traveling, in just three years he has visited 15 countries! In Croatia, Dubrovnik, Zagreb and the Plitvice Lakes are among his favorites. He also loves discovering new cultures and meeting people from all over the world.
When it comes to cooking, his heart is with Mexican and Oriental cuisine. Besides food, music is another of his passions and he enjoys time with both his Croatian and Mexican friends here at the resort and in the town.
We’re happy to have Alex’s creativity and warm spirit as part of our team.
Originally from Mexico, Karen has been part of the Waterman family for several seasons now. She started her journey in the à la carte restaurant Foodica at Waterman Svpetrvs Resort, then worked as a chef at TUI Suneo and today she’s the Head Chef of the Milna Osam restaurant.
Karen is passionate about creativity in the kitchen - designing new dishes and menus is what inspires her most. Colleagues and guests know her as the one who is always smiling, bringing positive energy wherever she goes.
She loves Milna and enjoys traveling, exploring every corner of Brač - from Sutivan to Splitska and beyond.
Outside the kitchen, you’ll find her dancing, swimming, or spending time on the beach with fellow chefs and friends. At home, she enjoys cooking and a good glass of wine.
For Karen, the Milna Osam restaurant is a perfect workplace - not only for its flavors but also for the stunning view that makes every day special.
